Juliette M. Miller Herrera Nickle is a biracial, multidisciplinary artist and curator, working within the Neu Bauhaus TRA$C0R3 movement. She is the co-founder of CollageHaus, a member of the ICOSA collective, and currently serves as assistant curator ,board member at Mothership Studios in San Marcos, Texas. A former collective volunteer and advisory board member at Treasure City Thrift, Juliette has exhibited her work in New Orleans, Bartlett, Lockhart, and Wisconsin.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri (or “Misery,” as she calls it), and now residing in Austin, Texas, Juliette’s artistic energy is fueled by Bauhaus Futurism, collectivism, video game art, and her fascination with exploring abandoned industrial factories and urban spaces throughout the Midwest. Growing up, she was immersed in design, form, shape, and fabrication, learning from artists in and out of studios and at art shows from an early age. With deep Bauhaus roots, her childhood was filled with playing in junkyards, abandoned cars, and urban exploring. Juliette’s practice spans materiality, 3D rendering, performance, mark-making, and collaging, capturing a raw relationship to space, memory, and the worn industrial landscape.
